"Hillary (the Racist), Halloween and Hollywood"

SHOULD HILLARY CLINTON DRESS UP  IN A WHITE "KKK" SHEET FOR HALLOWEEN TONIGHT?  After "joking" that "They all look alike" a few days ago (regarding Cory Booker and Eric Holder), that might be a good idea for her.  It would be HONEST, at least!!

Such a comment as "They all look alike" has ALWAYS been one of the most racist things a white person could say about black people or any OTHER group of people of color, and Hillary actually said it.  ("Jokingly," of course.)

Notice how she says she doesn't want to insult African-Americans about 30 seconds before she DOES.               Hillary Clinton wears a mask all year 'round, not just on Halloween, people!!




Anyway, can you imagine the outrage if a REPUBLICAN "joked" like Hillary did??

There would be NO MERCY, they'd be hounded and POUNDED for such a "joke."  Why, just last week, Megyn Kelly was canned by NBC for her "blackface" Halloween comment which, in the opinion of many, was NOT a racist comment at all (though I, personally, thought "blackface" was inappropriate and said so in my blog of October 26th.....Hillary's birthday.) I am NOT a Megyn Kelly fan at ALL since she left FoxNews, but why this double standard??

Hollywood even went so far as to "school" Megyn about "blackface"!!

So, when will the Hollywood Hypocrites school HILLARY about HER "joke"?? And when will Hillary make HER apology??

I doubt if THEY will or if SHE will, but I hope I'm wrong.




In closing, I, personally do not dress up for Halloween but I'm using the day to hopefully make a point, and, in that spirit, I offer this COSTUME ADVICE to those in this blog.

Some who read this may be disappointed that I didn't say Hillary should dress as a WITCH, at the beginning of this blog, because many despise her that much.  Sorry, that's not my style....but I do hold fast to the suggestion that Hillary wear "KKK" garb tonight for Halloween, as that seems to be HER style.  She's a Racist, if ever there was one.

As for my OTHER Halloween suggestions, I suggest Megyn NOT wear blackface tonight and that Hollywood take OFF their masks for Halloween and show the world that they really ARE.......actors when it comes to being against Racism.

As long as they support Hillary the Racist, that's EXACTLY what they really are.

"Farrakhan, Facts and Fairness / Hospitality, Like Charity, Begins at Home / Congrats to the Red Sox, BUT..."

The terrible murders at the Jewish synagogue on Saturday are heart-wrenching and despicable.  But those who are trying to blame President Donald Trump for them are way off base.

I have observed that those who blame TRUMP, and things he says, as somehow responsible for these murders are usually white liberals.  These were SILENT when Louis Farrakhan recently stated that he is "not anti-Semite, he's anti termite."  To be fair, they probably didn't APPROVE of what Farrakhan (pictured above) openly declared, but were no doubt afraid to be called "racist" or "anti-Islam" by their friends and thus kept their mouths shut  Therefore, they're not JEW-haters, they're just SELF-haters who always find excuses when people of color do wrong and then take it out on a white scapegoat. They are politically correct cowards, in other words. And Trump is their scapegoat.

So, though Trump has never said anything CLOSE to what Farrakhan said, and in fact has proven himself, in my mind, to be a FRIEND of Israel, yet Liberals feel free to blame HIM for what an evil, hateful shooter did.  (And nevermind that Trump, correctly, said that the shooter  should be executed for it!! Facts, and fairness, don't matter to Liberals.  Only their godless agenda does.)

As you can see from the pics below, Democratic "leaders" have no problem associating with Farrakhan, but I don't see TRUMP with him!! So please, please, PLEASE don't mention Farrakhan and Trump in the same breath again, Mr. Fineman.  Not till you criticize your fellow Democrats, first.

Hospitality, Like Charity, Begins at Home. I bought the new book "The Hospitable Leader," frankly, only because my son did the AMAZING cover art (the author is his pastor.)  I have profited much from reading the book, itself, however!!

In this book, the author concludes that Christians (especially leaders in the church) should show hospitality not just by welcoming people into our HOMES, but into our hearts and minds by reaching out to those with cultural and political differences.  It's a very thought-provoking and challenging book written in a VERY readable style.  If it has a flaw, though, it's that the book fails to mention how, sometimes, leaders need to reach out to those ALREADY in our homes.  At times, bridge-building is necessary to overcome relationship barriers right at HOME before we reach out to those from other places, whether those be physical, spiritual, mental or political places.  In fact, often, when priority is put on reaching those OUTside the home it can cause problems INside.

I would have liked to see a chapter in this book entitled "Hospitality, Like Charity, Begins at Home" but other than that, it is a TERRIFIC book (available on Amazon.)




Congrats to the Red Sox, BUT.......................Congrats, Boston Red Sox for winning the World Series the other night!!

Yes, you beat my 100 win Yankees in the first round of the playoffs.

Yes, you beat the 103 game winners / reigning World Champion Astros in the SECOND round.

And yes, when you should have lost Game 4 of the World Series, you used Puig's silly showboating (after his monster homer put you down 4-0) as incentive to score 9 runs in the last few innings and go up 3-1...instead of letting the Dodgers tie you, 2-2.  (Great job in FINISHING them, in Game 5, by the way.)

Boston Red Sox, YOU DESERVED to win the 2018 World Series, as much as I dislike you.

But let's get real....what was that, your EIGHTH World Title?? Because many are now saying you are the greatest team of all time, let me point out that my Yankees have won 27.

And yes, Red Sox you had a GREAT year...108 wins in the regular season, 119 overall. But because some are now saying it was the greatest season of ANY baseball team EVER, let me remind you that 20 years ago, my Yankees won 114 in the regular season, 125 overall.

And it only took the '98 Yankees FOUR games to win the World Series...took you guys FIVE against the hapless, Closer-less Dodgers.

So Congrats on a GREAT year, yes, but you were foolish to taunt the Yanks in your postgame celebration after the World Seies ended,  just like PUIG was foolish to taunt YOU in Game 4.  We WILL come roaring back next year just like YOU guys got annoyed and came back!! But you really shouldn't have given us something to motivate us even more, Lol!!

"Amada's Armada" (and More)....

I live in a town of self-contradictions.  On one end, a convenience store features people who fight viciously for parking spots but then hold the door for you as you enter the store.  And, on the OTHER end of town, a place that promises "Addiction Recovery for Men" during the time you reside there has a sign urging you to Come back soon! as you exit the grounds (Lol).

But the BIGGEST self-contradictions in my little town are some of the PEOPLE who live here.

One of them, an 85 year old woman who (despite how she's an Atheist and a Liberal) is a friend of mine. I talked with Ms. Amada again recently about the army of invaders coming from the south and looking to illegally enter our country.  SHE thinks this "Caravan" is terrific, of course, and therefore I refer to these thousands of potential invaders as "Amada's Armada."

I tried to reason with Ms. Amada, to no avail. "What if a group of under-55 people marched towards our (over-55 community) Villages and demanded we allow them to move in? Should we break the rules for THEM?  Is that fair to those who KEEP the rules?" Ms. Amada is totally against such invaders who disregard OUR rules, but she loves "Amada's Armada" that's currently plodding towards America. 

And it doesn't matter to her that there may be Islamic terrorists mixed in with the mob, EITHER.

Bottom line: she loves our VILLAGES but hates our COUNTRY.   She thinks America's a racist nation and Trump is a racist dictator, but can't explain why these people of color want to come here in the first place, if this were true.                     Go figure.

And again I say....I live in a town of self-contradictions (and in case you're wondering, it does NOT contradict what I believe to have a friendship with those who are so different than I am, Lol!!)

One good thing about Ms. Amada....because she's an Atheist, at least I don't have to listen to her say, regarding this "Caravan," something like "God is bringing the Mission Field to us."  GOD is not the author of sin, SATAN is and these people have a sinful intent to break our Immigration laws!!  And yes, we Christians are to be hospitable to strangers but not to lawbreakers or those with criminal intent.  That (helping lawbreakers) is called aiding and abetting.....enabling.....or "partaking of other men's sins," to phrase it in Biblical terms. Christians are to do NONE of those things!!  But, alas, that's a blog for another day.



     "Blackface"   Megyn Kelly's "Blackface" comment was inappropriate, though she shouldn't get FIRED for it (in my opinion.)  I think NBC just wanted her "gone," and this was an excuse.  That being said, she should realize that even though she's apologized for it the Liberals will NEVER forgive her because it's not really about what she said, it's about them seeing a chance to silence a political viewpoint that they don't like.  Megyn should go back to Fox News with a RED face and ask for her job back.  There is far more tolerance at Fox than anywhere else on "Talk TV," frankly.  And far LESS Political Correctness.



     "Bombs."  I truly find it hard to believe that a Republican has been sending all of those bombs, though it's possible.  I wonder if the whole thing isn't being done by a Democrat, to make us look bad right before the midterm elections. WHOEVER it is, I hope they are caught and punished.  These are ILLEGAL ACTS and the perp or perps must be dealt with if we are to have a civilized society.  (This is ANOTHER reason I'm against Illegal Immigrants coming here, by the way....we have enough criminals floating around this nation, we don't need to import any.)

     "Capitalism"  The Boston Red Sox, up 2-0 in the World Series and seemingly a cinch to win the Championship, have the biggest payroll in Major League Baseball this year.  Yet, no one  I know of is accusing them of "buying it" like they do when my YANKEES come out on top.

Why IS that?? The Red Sox are ALL ABOUT MONEY....after all, some of their players have the last names of "Sale"......."Price".......and even "Betts" (Lol.) But seriously, I do not begrudge Boston for spending what they can afford in an attempt to win it all.         It's called CAPITALISM, people.

When my YANKEES use Capitalism to their advantage, I have no problem with that and even though the Sox are our ARCH-RIVALS, THEY have the right to use it TOO.  I will never, ever like the Red Sox and I'm STILL rooting for the Dodgers to beat them in this Series, but I do respect what Boston has done.



     "Daredevil Season 3."  Wow, Netflix CONTINUES to amaze with the "Daredevil" Marvel comics adaptation (Season 3 is now on Netflix).  I'd better not say much lest I accidentally give some things away....WATCH it, but, Warning: NOT for the faint of heart!!

"What Are 'Real Men'?"

You can imagine my surprise to learn that the word POUF, (that round scrubby thing I've been showering with the last few years), is, according to a few dictionaries. Urban and otherwise, an "effeminate or Homosexual man."  Upon learning this, the fact that my Pouf is BLUE, the "appointed color" for maleness, did very little to comfort me, I must admit.

Pardon the pun, but, temporarily at least, I felt....unclean.

And seriously, it made me wonder, legitimately so, if naming that round scrubby thing "Pouf" wasn't our godless society's latest attempt to emasculate "real men"...just like those men's briefs with no "FLY" that I wrote about in my March 6th blog, and described as "panties for men," are such an attempt. (Maybe, maybe not, regarding the Poufs thing...I'm still undecided.)

But there is NO doubt that men are being "effeminated" in our American society....all I have to do is listen to, and watch, the whiny and wispy looking "men" hosting on my local news each morning, or starring in many TV commercials now, and I'm convinced of THAT.

Recently I keep hearing that "Real Men Wear Pink" in support of fighting Breast Cancer.  The great John Wayne, The Epitome of Masculinity for our society as I was growing up, wore pink all of the time...we just didn't know it because we were watching reruns of his movies on our black and white TVs, in the 60s, Lol! (See John's photo above.)

But "The Duke" did it because he liked the color, NOT because someone told him to do it to support a cause.  He defined masculinity in many ways, he didn't let OTHERS tell him what real manhood was, you see.

Today, Clint Eastwood is ALSO known as "a man's man" and he has never worn pink to my knowledge (though he WAS in a movie "Pink Cadillac" once.) And, I have a pink T-Shirt I wear in the summertime (see photo in my last blog.) I get teased by some of the guys when I wear it, and it doesn't bother me, I wear it because I (and my wife) like the color.  But why does society now say that "Real Men Wear Pink?"  Who defines what "Real Men" are, why did they just start trying to re-orient us NOW, and would they say we men were "Real Men" if we opposed the blatant, open Homosexuality that we now see all around us?  (I doubt it. They'd label us "Homophobes.") In MY opinion, REAL men don't let other people lead them into thinking what "Real" is.  They lead, they are not led by other people (even into "good" causes.)  They think for themselves and are willing to stand alone, if necessary, in the process.

That's what Real Men are to ME.

On a blog site I was once on, Xanga, a so-called Christian guy had gullible women send him pics of themselves topless supposedly "to fight breast cancer" once a year.  I'm sure HE thought he was a "Real Man" because he apparently liked porn but that's not MY idea of, nor is it GOD'S idea of, Real Manhood.  When I was a kid, my dad taught me "real men don't cry" but I totally rejected that notion then, and I reject it NOW.  When there's something worth crying about, I cry just like JESUS did!!  HE is my Example of REAL and TRUE Manhood, in all things.  I happen to like Elton John's music, and his CD that I ordered arrived yesterday.  I've been criticized for liking him in the past because he's a Homosexual, but "the fear of man brings a snare"...if I live my life governed by what anyone but GOD thinks, that is NOT being a "Real Man."

Jesus cared about people and was moved with compassion when He saw the sick, but He never let society define Him nor did He ever sin or endorse sin.  He was led by God, His Father and led others TO God.  In short, I'm content to let HIM, via His Word and Example, define what a Real Man is and seek to continue to be one, with His help.  Only GOD can truly define what "Real Men" are supposed to be, only HE can make us one and it takes a lot more than wearing pink one month a year to be what God intends us men to be.

"Sadly, Hillary and Warren Discredited Legitimately Abused Women"

This week, two VERY prominent women, Democrats who both claim to support abused women, frankly have discredited ALL women who will complain of abuse in days to come.  I speak of past Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and (looks like) FUTURE candidate, Elizabeth Warren (pictured.)

First, Hillary.

I didn't see it as it aired last Sunday because I was in church, but CNN reports that Hillary went on TV and claimed that when Bill Clinton committed adultery with Monica Lewinsky in the Oval Office, this was NOT an abuse of power on his part and therefore he should NOT have stepped down as President!!  "Lewinsky was an adult at the time," added Hillary.

Wow.  So if the most powerful man in the world has sex with someone half his age, that's not an "abuse of power"??!!  Imagine women who will come forward now and legitimately complain that their bosses harassed them, and that they were afraid they might lose their jobs if they didn't yield.  "If the President wasn't abusing HIS power, according to his own wife that he was cheating on, how can I be accused of abusing MINE" is what a guilty, slithering male boss can say now (thanks to Hillary.) SHE JUST GAVE "COVER" TO COUNTLESS SNAKES IN THE GRASS by her ridiculous statement.

Again I say.......Wow.

As for Senator Elizabeth Warren, well, she's ANOTHER one.

Warren has been accused of faking her Native American heritage in order to gain an educational advantage in the past.  Because she clearly aspires to run for President herself in 2020,  possibly against HILLARY for the Party's nomination, and because being a minority today gives you an advantage in such things, she decided to get a DNA test now to try to put this issue to rest once and for all.  She wanted to PROVE her heritage, you see.

The test showed she has Native American ancestors "6 to 10 generations back," and was it less than 1% of Native American blood that she has in her??   UNREAL.  At the very least, Warren EXAGGERATED GREATLY and, at worst she's a liar because ALL of us could probably find similar results if we took the same test (so she is really no different than most of the rest.)

And SHE HAS ALSO GIVEN MANY MEN WHO ARE GUILTY OF SEXUAL HARASSMENT AN EASY WAY OUT...."If Senator Warren can exaggerate, or lie, just to gain personal advantage why isn't it possible that my accuser is doing the same," a guilty male can ask now. I'm sure both of these "geniuses" can claim RUSSIA made them make these statements, but the reality is that they have BOTH hurt countless women who have real complaints.  And and while I'm glad to see that the PHONIES will now be impeded, I'm sad for those whose road for DESERVED justice has now been made much harder and longer.



One final word about Hillary...next week would have been my first wife's 71st birthday and Beth was born on the same exact day and year as she was.  Beth was EXACTLY the opposite of Hillary...honest and godly.  If you ever want proof of how bogus Astrology is, there's your proof!!  Two women, different as night and day though BORN on the same exact day (only two miles apart.)  I pray Hillary (and Elizabeth) will both get SAVED and wind up in Heaven where Beth is, one day.

"Escaping The Facebook Judges" / My, How Baseball Has Changed!"

When I left off my perpetual posting on Facebook about a year ago, it was NOT because of the way I'd been judged there the previous three years!!  You see, starting in the fall of 2014, when my Mother-in-Law died, then when my first wife got cancer and died, and then when the Lord led me to a NEW wife, I posted on Facebook often    A.) Because the therapy of writing has always been very helpful to me and    B.) Because I valued everyone's PRAYERS, and wanted to keep them updated.

Those were my only reasons, but many interpreted my transparency as a need for counsel, advice, and public commenting by well-meaning people who didn't know all the facts but ASSUMED that they did.  This led to judgmental, unBiblical, hurtful public statements inferring that my Mother-in-Law and wife only died because I lacked faith that God could heal, medical "advice" from self-proclaimed "doctors" and even "counsel" that I should never remarry because it insulted the memory of my first wife (thankfully, that LAST tidbit was done PRIVATELY, via Facebook Messaging, so that I could rebuke that person PRIVATELY.)  And, I should note that no one who is still my Facebook Friend, and who may see the link to this blog via FB, was among the offenders I'm mentioning, Lol!! (The key word is "still" Lol!!      Many of those have since been Blocked....and by the way, MOST of my Facebook Friends who commented during that three years were very supportive and encouraging.  THANK YOU to them!!.)

Again, I did NOT leave Facebook (except, of course for when I link to my blog there...I have "left" in terms of previous perpetual postings) because of the way I'd been judged there.  I left for exactly the reasons stated in my earliest blogs here, although, again, it would be wrong to assume that I've publicly divulged ALL of my reasons. That being said, it's nice to ESCAPE THE FACEBOOK JUDGES, and the fact that I'm blogging my "Chetitorials".....clearly my own OPINIONS.....shows that I write more to express what I'm thinking or feeling, rather than to GET opinions. I accumulate very few comments from others now compared to my Full-Fledged-Facebook days, and I'm fine with that (though I welcome any input that I may get.)

Finally, now that I've given up perpetual postings on Facebook I've been able to bury my FACE in more BOOKS (see photo above)!!  The five tomes pictured are only a sample of good books I've read, or am reading, in the last few months (by the way, my son Rob, a graphic designer, designed the cover to "The Hospitable Leader.") Soon, I hope to be WRITING books again, also and my Men's Sunday School class is being blessed by God....so the extra time off of Facebook is well spent.

To close this out, it's nice to escape the Facebook Judges AND to get good advice, and counsel, and wisdom, via books like the ones pictured above!! This is input that I am SEEKING, from people who've mastered the Biblical topics they write about, and it makes all the difference in the world. The Bible, books like these, and wisdom imparted to me via my wife, kids, pastors and trusted friends who know me well, are all that I need but I do NOT miss the Facebook Judges!




My, How Baseball Has Changed! (Originally written on the 17th, updated on Oct. 18th.)  Here it is, October 18th, and each league has only completed 4 or 5 games of their League Championship Series.

40 years ago yesterday, the Yankees concluded the WORLD Series, by beating the Dodgers in six games!

50 years ago, the Tigers had a 31 game winner during the regular season (Denny McClain) and HE wasn't even their star in the World Series. Mickey Lolich was!  And most of the World Series games were UNDER 3 hours, in those days!

Change is only good if it's for the better, I say.  I do like the extra rounds of playoffs, I must admit but the length of the GAMES is not as attractive as the length of the PLAYOFFS. Playoff games should be as crisp as the autumn weather...and would it hurt to have a DAY game or two in the postseason??

The biggest change is that technology now allows us to see how utterly FALLIBLE the umpires are.  The Houston Astros got robbed of two runs last night because of a bad call by an ump that could not be overturned.  "Of course," they lost the game by.................TWO RUNS and instead of the ALCS being tied at two games apiece, it's now 3-1 in favor of Boston, with Houston facing elimination.

The "new" high def, slow motion replays seem to show that the ump was wrong.  I liked it better in the old days when we KNEW the ump blew it, but couldn't PROVE it.

I hope the Astros recover from this injustice and win the next two games, in Boston, and advance to the World Series!!

Please, Democrats, Stop "Making History"

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio, a Democrat, now doesn't think that the Government should "tell" you what sex you are!!  Here's the link....

The bill leaves open the option to officially change one's sex in the future, in case you haven't figured out whether God made you a man or a woman by then and haven't resolved to be the best you can be at what you are. Not only does Mayor de Blasio (and, apparently ALL Democrats because I haven't heard ONE with the courage and clarity of thought to contradict this moral madness) believe that the Government should have no say, but he clearly believes GOD has no say in what we are, either.  The very first book of the Bible, God's unchanging Word, says that He created us male and female.  That's it.  Boy or girl, those are the possibilities and anyone who can't accept that doesn't need to try to change their sex, they need a change of HEART into one that accepts GOD as The One Who determined what we are...not "us" or any other human being.

In short, those inclined to "change their sex" need to be "Born Again" (John 3:3) like EVERYONE who comes into this world, as we all come here alienated from God because of sin.

Wow.  To think that Democrats dared to unjustly judge Brett Kavanaugh, based on unproven allegations of sexual misconduct, while they support evil like THIS and the killing of babies in the womb, is just............unbelievable.  The hypocrisy of it all!!  And to think how GULLIBLE New York voters are is frightening, is it not??  But beyond all of that,  I recall how many of those who voted de Blasio into office said their main reason for wanting him instead of one of the other Dems is because Bill is married to a black woman and his election would "put a black woman into Gracie Mansion."  Well, THIS (the nutty bill the Mayor signed) is what you get when you vote for someone simply to "make history." OBAMA was voted in to "make history," as well and he was the first President to publicly approve of same-sex marriage, just as de Blasio is ALSO advancing the Gay agenda in unprecedented ways as MAYOR. These guys, and the people who put them in power, don't realize it or don't CARE, but they are daring God to judge us by their arrogant rebellion against His created order.  Again, it's frightening to watch. Have they never read of what God did to Sodom, how He destroyed them, and WHY??

Please, Democrats, stop "Making History" when you vote before you make history of all of us.

"Bring Back Buck! / Kanye / Diamond and Silk's Movie"

"Bring Back Buck!"  I am NOT surprised that my Yankees tanked early in the playoffs (see my Oct. 3rd blog.)  However, I never expected Luis Severino. our starting pitcher in Game 3 of the ALDS. to only warm up for 8 inadequate minutes before game time, and for us to lose that game 16-1!!!

It was an absolute disgrace.

Last year at this time. the mantra was "Joe (former Yankee manager Joe Girardi) Must Go" and THIS October I think we need ANOTHER managerial change.  As much as I like Aaron Boone as a person, the team's failures, as I laid them out on Oct. 3rd and what has happened SINCE then, point to a team that needs to learn fundamental basics of baseball and to be motivated by a disciplinarian who'll help them reach their potential.  I'm probably the ONLY one saying this, but I think we need to bring BUCK SHOWALTER back.  Yes, I say the mantra for THIS October should be "Bring Back Buck!"

     AND OF COURSE I'm well aware that the Yanks fired him in '95, but it was HE (Showalter) who laid the foundation for our success in '96, '98, '99 and 2000. And, TORRE reaped the benefits of it all.

     AND, YES!! I know that he got fired by the Orioles this year after managing them to the WORST season EVER, but he'd be highly motivated to "come full circle" and win a championship with the Yanks before he retires, if asked to (I think).

     NOTE: I'd prefer Miami Marlins manager MATTINGLY for this role, but he is presently under contract, whereas Buck is available.




Kanye.  I'm glad to see the Democrats mad that Kanye West is now friendly with President Trump.  Anytime the Dems are mad, it means they are frustrated about something and any time the Dems are frustrated and whining it means they DIDN'T GET THEIR WAY, and that's good news for America.

Having said all of that, while I admire anyone willing to think for his or her self, and in THAT sense I appreciate Kanye taking the heat he's taking, I still don't like Kanye West.  It's like when boxing promoter Don King said he's Republican....was I supposed to forget what an unsavory dude he was just because he's a Republican, like me??*  Let Kanye renounce his LIFESTYLE, not just change his political affiliations, and then I may view him differently.




Finally, "Diamond and Silk" have a movie coming out, in theaters THIS MONDAY, Oct. 15th, FOR ONE DAY ONLY.  Now, these ladies are TRUE black Conservatives (I'm yet to be convinced about Kanye.)  I'm not going to miss Men's Bible Study to see it Monday night, mind you.....but my heart is with these ladies, they are VERY brave and smart and THEIR endorsement of Trump means a lot more to me than Kanye's self-serving, publicity-garnering efforts on Trump;s behalf!!




     * I was appalled to see the convicted murderer Don King's plaque in the Boxing Hall of Fame when we visited recently.  However, regarding "Bring Back Buck," when we visited the BASEBALL Hall of Fame I didn't see a plaque honoring his managerial achievements EITHER, Lol!!

"A Lesson Re-learned in Canada"

We recently returned from a trip to Canada and I, for one, wanted to get out of the car and kiss the ground when we got back to U.S. soil.  (And I wouldn't have even cared if a flock of Canada GEESE had already been on that ground, right BEFORE me...Lol, I still wanted to do that!!)  And I'm sure many Canadians who visit the States feel the same about US as they return home...and that's fine.

See, we went to check out the Canadian side of Niagara Falls (on our honeymoon in the spring, we saw the New York side, and I wanted to "complete the loop.")  The FALLS, of course, are GOD'S Handiwork and are simply amazing....but the hotel in Canada that we stayed at was made and run by PEOPLE and it was a big, big letdown. 

Of course, to be fair, we only experienced a VERY small part of the country...namely the (very expensive but very inefficient) hotel.  So is it right to judge all of Canada by that three day stay in one basic location? Of course it isn't...but it's human nature, and that's how it works.  It's just like folks in the States who think all of my native New Jersey consists of FACTORIES because they never saw more than the New Jersey Turnpike, when passing through.  What they may see regarding the beauties of The Garden State in books or brochures does not impact as much as what they experience in real-life.  What others TELL them does not over-rule what they SEE with their EYES.  And that brings me to the main point of this "Chetitorial." 

We Christians are often told that "we are the only Jesus some people will ever see" and that is SO true.  And like it or not, those same people will most often judge ALL of Christianity, and Christ Himself, by their experience with the individual Christian they come in contact with on a personal basis,  just like my recollections of Canada will always be tainted by my initial bad experience.

Can initial bad experiences be OVERCOME, in time?  Of course they can...IF I ever visit Canada again, I may have POSITIVE experiences which will help erase the memories of the negatives. Problem is, my FIRST visit may well be my LAST one.....time will tell.   

Is it right?? No, it isn't.  Is it fair??  Not hardly.  But it's HUMAN, and if a Christian of many, many years like myself can still have these inclinations, I'd better not be surprised if NON-believers do....and neither should you.

I need to make sure that what the others see of GOD'S Handiwork in my life (my "Niagara Falls" as it were) is not overshadowed by the "hotel" which is all "me."  And I need to take care that nothing within me prejudices the lost against seeking the Savior I claim to represent. 

In closing,  several years after I was converted to Christ I was self-employed for 35 years and followed the saying "you don't get a second chance to make a good first impression."  May I always represent my SAVIOR with the same zeal with which I advertised and represented my BUSINESS.  Amen!!

I love that Pastor's Appreciation Month is in October.  For me, it's a nice "warm-up" to thinking of things I'm thankful for as Thanksgiving approaches, in NOVEMBER.

Most of all, of course, I'm thankful for the Lord Jesus Christ Who died for my sins but I'm also grateful for men He has put in my life to do me good, and help me grow in His image.  My PRESENT pastor, of course, is ONE of those but knowing him as I do he would not want this type of public praise.  There are others I would like to name, however.

Before I was ever even saved, the late Billy Graham had an impact on my life via his TV crusades. Yes, I know he wasn't OFFICIALLY a pastor but he was designated as "America's Pastor" when he died this year, and he was the first one I ever heard the Gospel from.

Speaking of "late" Pastors, among those who are now in Heaven, there's Robert Paul Martin, Robert C. Becker and Paul C. Clarke (who died at age 99, just like Graham.)  Let me not forget Gilbert Zinke.  The others impacted me by their teaching and example, but the greatest way GIL influenced my life was the way he raised his godly daughter Beth, my first wife who is ALSO now with the Lord, in Heaven.  (Special mention to Helen Zinke, Beth's mom who passed 4 years ago today, by the way....she ALSO raised Beth well!!) "The memory of the just is blessed."

Among former Pastors who are living, there is Jimmie Van Sant and Albert N. Martin.

Pastor Martin, in particular, has ongoing input in my life via his books, sermons and occasional counseling.  About 4-5 years ago I compiled a book of well-deserved tributes to him on the occasion of his 80th birthday.  You can read that entire book for free by clicking here...

Finally, there are pastors who "being dead, yet speak" and I publicly thank God for the writings of Charles Spurgeon, Charles Bridges and most of all, J.C. Ryle. I'm not sure if Bridges WAS an official Pastor, and Ryle was a BISHOP, but each of them have been Pastors to my soul these past 43 years and I appreciate each of those I've named (and hope I haven't OVERLOOKED anyone!!)

2.) Kavanaugh's Confirmation

After all of the wicked attempts to smear Brett Kavanaugh, it looks like he WILL be confirmed to the Supreme Court this afternoon.  But what's REALLY being confirmed is that Democrats will STOP AT NOTHING to try to uphold a woman's "right" to kill her own baby in the womb.

They subjected this poor guy to his SEVENTH background check by the FBI and got Ford to testify (and now look foolish at best, or like she was lying, at worst) though she didn't want to. In short, the hypocrites used her just like ABUSER (whoever he was) used her.  (On the bright side, at least these wicked slanderers aren't blaming Russian interference for the fact that Kavanaugh will get voted in.....I hope!!) I used to be a Democrat when I was young and didn't know better but this Party will NEVER get me back, I assure you.

They did to Kavanaugh what they did to Justice Thomas in 1991....raise false allegations via female PAWNS that will always "stick" to the man's formerly good name, and it stinks. 3.) Poem For The Drawing (and Vice Versa)

I wrote a poem to go with the drawing above, but (long story) I had to RE-DO my drawing so that the paper would possibly publish them together.  Confusing, eh?  Anyway, here's the NEW drawing, and the poem, as I hope the paper will publish them together in their November issue.  (I'm posting them here in case my hard work never makes it to print there, Lol!!)

"My Yankees Prediction"

Tonight, the postseason begins for our New York Yankees as we host the Oakland A's in a one game showdown.  It's very simple...we win? We ADVANCE.  We lose?  We go HOME.  And even though we are ROOTING for our guys, and I love them, I have some serious concerns about this team, based on watching them regularly throughout the year.

Yes, we set the single season record for most home runs by a team this year, and yes, we won 100 games, but WE DON'T KNOW HOW TO PLAY "SMALL BALL."  We don't know how to manufacture runs, steal bases, advance runners with outs, bunt, etc!!

In the postseason (maybe not TONIGHT), you usually face the best pitchers around and those pitchers USUALLY don't give up many homers.  And as the majority of the Yankees' offense COMES from the long ball, we may have a problem if the pitchers keep us in the park.

..............SO WHY ISN'T RONALDO TORREYES ON THE ROSTER FOR TONIGHT??!!

Additionally, three of our guys, who by the way have averaged about 20 homers each this year, seem to be asleep at times when playing DEFENSE.  They are...

Torres (2b) and

Andujar (3b)


All of the above are young, gifted HITTERS but they have had frequent fielding problems and seem to be DAYDREAMING in the field sometimes.  This could cost us in a close game (and very often, because you face the best pitchers in the postseason, those games ARE close games.)  I hope these guys realize they are paid to provide DEFENSE, as well as OFFENSE, Lol!!

Again, right after Prayer Meeting we'll be home and rooting for our team tonight, but I am always honest here and I'm telling you now, unless the Yanks up their game in those two areas or hit a TON of home runs or get TERRIFIC pitching....they may not go as "deep" in October as they went "deep" hitting all of those home runs the PREVIOUS six months!!  I hope I'm wrong of course, but that's how I see it, that's my "Chetitorial" of the day.

"Memories Sometimes Fail Us"

Now that Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation is delayed ANOTHER week, it gives the Dems time to come up with MORE ancient accusations they can't prove. And they WILL, mind you....perhaps not as silly as the one above, but be prepared.  Their sickening love of abortion and their fear that he will help take away their "right" leaves them no choice, in their twisted minds, but to try to stop his confirmation to the Supreme Court any which way they can.

After all, what's a little Character Assassination to a group that touts the right to kill their unborn kids as part of their Party Platform?  Expect the Dems to PILE ON THE UNJUST JUDGMENTS of Judge Kavanaugh this week, sadly.  And we can thank the aptly named Sen. Flake, a RINO Republican if ever there was one, for enabling this new delay...a delay which gives time for MORE bogus accusers to come forward.

But this blog is entitled "Memories Sometimes Fail Us" and I want to share how MINE failed ME once....big time.  Because, like Judge Kavanaugh I do believe that SOMEthing happened to Dr. Ford in 1982, it's just that she's mistaken about him being involved in it.


In 1985, I lived in Bloomfield, NJ which, at that time was a "Republican" town.  On June 13th, 1985 President Reagan came to visit and I took my wife and kids to see him (along with about 10,000 other citizens) speak outdoors on the steps of our Town Hall.  Okay....fast forward to 25 years later, 2010.  Bloomfield had now changed to a DEMOCRAT town but I, for one, wanted to see the 25th anniversary of Reagan's visit celebrated.  I contacted the local paper and they interviewed me about my recollections of seeing the President.


In the phone interview, I said something like "I'll never forget the way President Reagan's tan suit gleamed in the sunlight that day," but when the paper was published, Reagan was shown wearing a BLACK suit on that day 25 years earlier.  I was totally, totally embarrassed.

Like Dr. Ford, I was 100% certain of my memory...but I was wrong.

Like Dr. Ford, I had NO WITNESSES to support my memory. My first wife (now in Heaven) and 3 kids could not remember what Reagan was wearing that day.

And just as Dr. Ford STILL thinks the Judge was the culprit, I still picture Reagan in a tan suit when I recall June 13th, 1985....despite indisputable evidence to the contrary!!

How could I, an ARTIST who is known for having a GREAT memory, be so wrong??  The answer is, that, LIKE Dr. Ford, I am human. I was mistaken about something that occurred 25 years earlier, so why is it unreasonable to think SHE (and others) might be mistaken about what happened 36 years earlier??  Especially since SHE (Dr. Ford) was drinking at the time and I wasn't (as stated a few blogs back, I am a non-drinker...always have been.)

Memories sometimes fail us, and that's why they can't be relied on without witnesses or indisputable evidence (like that photo of Reagan with the black suit.)

And sadly for Brett Kavanaugh, there are no photos that prove he did NOT rape Dr. Ford...in a Politically Correct climate where the woman is supposed to be believed, without evidence or witnesses, as if women are never wrong, or never lie, or never have an agenda.

In closing, there's a campaign which states "BELIEVE WOMEN" as its theme.  In response to that, I say "BELIEVE GOD" when He says "At the mouth of two or three witnesses let every word be established" and "The first to present his case seems just, until another comes forward and examines him."  Sometimes women ARE right (see my recent blogs condemning Bill Clinton, Bill Cosby and Bill Hybels) but those men were PROVEN to be guilty, and the Judge has NOT been. And sometimes, women are like Potiphar's wife, accusing an innocent man because THEY are evil (I've been innocent men falsely accused 3 times, by the way, in my 63 years.) Bottom line regarding THIS fiasco: Memories aren't enough.

Memories sometimes fail us.

Memories cannot prove the Judge's alleged guilt.

Prediction: that will not stop the Democrats from TRYING this week, however.
