"Victory! / Judge Jeanine Returns Tonight"

Victory!  Yesterday I learned of how God gave a huge VICTORY, regarding our monthly newspaper. See, the paper was favoring a MUSLIM writer and censoring CHRISTIANS.  You may recall my Feb. 28th blog, wherein I shared a poem I wrote with a message I had to ENCODE.  The message, if you take the first letter of each line in the poem, reads "Jesus Up, Allah No." and I felt I had to do this if I was going to keep contributing to the paper while an Islamist was being favored and allowed to teach false doctrine with free, full-page space in the paper. What you see above is from the APRIL edition, which came out yesterday.

Well, as you can see they PRINTED MY POEM "AS IS," they didn't reformat it one bit.  The Code is there!! (Again, check the first letter of each sentence in the poem.)

Now, they DID eliminate my ART which was supposed to accompany the poem (see above), but....

They ADDED the "Happy Easter" at the bottom which, frankly, emphasizes the POEM more (for which I'm grateful.)

Did the editor SPOT my Code?? I don't know and I'm not asking, Lol!! THANK YOU TO THOSE WHO PRAYED ABOUT THIS!! But...there's MORE...

One of my friends from our church (he teaches the Sunday School class right next to the one I do) had his piece about Easter printed, AND THE MUSLIM WRITER, WHO USUALLY APPEARS IN THAT SLOT TEACHING ISLAMIST ERRORS, WAS TOTALLY PRE-EMPTED THIS ISSUE!! In the photo above, BRIAN'S piece is in the upper left hand corner, directly across the page is a poem called "Victory!" from a person TOTALLY unrelated to us and our mission, and BELOW that is MY poem.  The three work together well as they all speak of the Resurrection and mine makes the point (although in coded and symbolic form) that Jesus rose from the dead so HE is REAL. One end result is that I feel MUCH better about sending my art / poems to the paper and hopefully NEXT time I won't have to ENCODE my Christian message!! THANK YOU, AGAIN, FOR PRAYING.  This is, indeed, a "Victory!" from the LORD.

Judge Jeanine Returns Tonight!  Speaking of VICTORIES, Judge Jeanine returns to her Fox show "Justice With Judge Jeanine" tonight, after being unjustly suspended for two weeks.  Her "crime"??  QUESTIONING THE MUSLIM CONGRESSWOMAN'S LOYALTY TO THE UNITED STATES.

All she did was ask a legit question, and her Muslim supervisor had her show suspended!!

I expect Jeanine to come out swinging tonight, blasting the Dems for falsely accusing Trump of collusion with Russia in light of the Mueller Report.  I also expect her to condemn the mysterious dropping of charges against Jussie Smollett AND to ask why our Liberal news media is totally silent about 70 CHRISTIANS KILLED BY MUSLIMS IN NIGERIA THE OTHER DAY while they are STILL talking about the evil massacre of Muslims in NEW ZEALAND from 2 weeks ago.

I intend to watch Jeanine's show tonight (first time in a few years) and I urge EVERYONE to do so in support of her return and of FREE SPEECH.

"You're Never Too Old to Learn"

Last night I was blessed in that my church voted me in as a Deacon.  This is a FIRST for me, at age 64, but I'm pretty happy and excited about it.  There's an ancient saying that "You can't teach an old dog new tricks" but the fact is that GOD can, and He's been preparing me for these new responsibilities for a few years now!!

And, TODAY, as you may know, is the first day of Baseball Season, at least for my New York Yankees.  I don't have the time or money to go to the 1:00 Yankees-Orioles game at Yankee Stadium, but I may get to watch a few innings on TV between my job.  (In fact, I don't even have the time to watch "The Babe," the movie about the great Yankee BABE RUTH that I traditionally watch on Opening Day!!) But above, you'll see "The Babe" and two OTHER of my DVDs that I don't have time to watch today, either...and they are ALSO evidence that "old dogs" like me CAN learn new tricks.

You see, those other two DVDs are about my Yankees' crosstown rivals, the New York METS.  There was a time when I had NO interest in them, but now I'm learning to because    A.) It's the 50th anniversary of their Miracle season    B.) As you may have read in my March 8th and March 23rd blogs, a member of that team, TOM SEAVER, has Dementia now and so I ordered these two DVDs in which he appears and    C.) After all, I'm not just a YANKEE fan....I'm a true BASEBALL fan.

So what's the point of all of this?? Just this. Becoming a Deacon is something God will use to stretch me as well as (I trust) to be a blessing to OTHERS...and I've been stretching MYSELF by finally (among other things) acknowledging that there's ANOTHER team in New York besides MY team.  (By the way, I also ordered a DVD of the Mets-Orioles in the '69 World Series.)  One thing I like about those old sayings is that there's always a CORRESPONDING one to BALANCE them...

For example, "Never put off tomorrow what you can do today" is balanced by "Tomorrow's another day."


And "All things come to he who waits" is balanced by "He who hesitates is lost."


In like manner, "You can't teach an old dog new tricks" finds its balancing truth in something that I am finally learning NOW..."You're never too old to learn"!!

"Creed II" : Special Features Disc is OUTSTANDING"

Got our "CREED II" from Amazon yesterday, and didn't have time to watch the MOVIE again yet but we watched the SECOND disc...the "Special Features."  WOW.

In case you can't read them from the artwork above, the "Special Features" are as follows...

1.) "FATHERS AND SONS"

2.) CASTING VIKTOR DRAGO

3.) THE WOMEN OF CREED II

4.) DELETED SCENES

and 5.) THE ROCKY LEGACY (not in that order.)


SPOILER ALERT (Wait, do you even need to SAY "Spoiler Alert" regarding "Special Features"?? Lol)

1.) The Deleted Scenes are amazing, ESPECIALLY when Rocky is eulogizing Spider Rico.

2.) Real-life former boxer SUGAR RAY LEONARD and real-life ring announcer MICHAEL BUFFER appear in the Special Features, and were terrific.

3.)  The "Rocky Legacy" Special Feature appears to TOTALLY DISOWN "Rocky V."
Only Rocky 1-4 are identified, at the end, as part of the "Rocky Legacy." Is this because Stallone just didn't LIKE "Rocky V"?? (Could be....that's why he made "Rocky Balboa.")  Or, is it because his son SAGE and real-life boxer TOMMY MORRISON, both of whom had key roles in "Rocky V," died prematurely and tragically since the movie was made??  Personally, my wife and I thought "Rocky V" was great, but SOMEONE apparently doesn't like it, Lol!!

4.) EACH of the actors interviewed showed and SHARED a lot of insight as to what their character was thinking and feeling in the movie.  One would never think that such intelligence could reside in actors from a BOXING movie!!

5.) DOLPH LUNDGREN (Ivan Drago) seemed to be the HOST of the "Special Features" and he was "perfect."

In Summary, the "Special Features" were just as inspiring for me as the actual MOVIE, but there were no sex scenes, profanity was limited to only ONE of the Deleted Scenes, and the "Special Features" are much SHORTER than the full movie (if you need a quick jolt of Motivation.)  I'm glad I bought the movie WITH the "Special Features"!!

"Why Can't the Liberals Let It Go?? Here's Why..."

So, JUSSIE SMOLLETT HAS HAD ALL CHARGES AGAINST HIM DROPPED.  I admit that it seems very "fishy," but I accept it and will move on with my life.  But not before I apologize for presuming him guilty, here in my Feb. 23rd blog.

Apparently, I was wrong.

And, I apologize!!

I should not have sided with the MEDIA who all seemed to declare him guilty of faking his own "Hate Crime" attack.  I should have let him have his day in court.  Again, I was wrong.

On the other hand, the recent Mueller Report SERIOUSLY vindicated President Trump of colluding with the Russians, but the Liberals CAN'T LET IT GO, they can't accept Mueller's findings, they can't accept that they were wrong, nevermind ADMIT it.

Last night, my wife and I were upset that our favorite TV show, "Bull," was pre-empted by CBS so they could air a "special report" which basically concluded that Trump must STILL be guilty even though Mueller found him innocent.  And this highlights the difference between Liberals and me.  I am sane.  They are not.  They HATE Donald Trump because he's a white capitalist MALE who defeated Hillary and is (justly) doing his best to roll back all that OBAMA "accomplished."  I, on the other hand, do not hate Jussie Smollett, black people or GAY people, I never watch "Empire"  and I hope they find the (apparent) Trump supporters who (apparently) attacked Jussie.

See, by God's Grace I can admit when I was wrong and move on because I BELIEVE GOD KNOWS THE TRUTH AND WILL BRING IT OUT, in this world or in the world to come.

So why can't the LIBERALS let it go?  Sadly, their wicked acts of abortion, etc. show that they DON'T believe in God or in HIS Justice, so they appoint themselves as judges and can't rest until the one they THINK is guilty is PUNISHED.

What they are doing to the man in the photo above is The Biggest Hate Crime of All Time.

I pray for them as they attack the President, and I pray for him ALSO, that he will stand strong.  TRUMP 2020!!

"Lennon / Diana Ross"

Since 1990, ten years after his murder, I've been working on a book about the life and death of John Lennon from a CHRISTIAN perspective.  Above is the PROBABLE cover for my latest version, which I will hopefully self-publish on Amazon SOON.  I'm more convinced than ever that Christians are unaware of the godless but pervasive influence of Lennon, ESPECIALLY after the Beatles split up (1970.) Ray Comfort's book "The Beatles, God and the Bible" GLOSSED OVER, for the most part, the ten years of Lennon's SOLO career, and it was those years (1970-1980) that my book focuses on.  It was THOSE years in which Lennon came as "an angel of light" bringing anti-Christian "teachings" into our minds, via his music and the example of his life.

For the artwork above, I took my son Rob's previous cover drawing of Lennon and added artistic effects from the computer.  These effects are meant to symbolize the "colorful confusion" of Lennon's life, and there are many other intended "hidden" meanings in there which I won't bore you with.  For THIS incarnation of my book, I've made some changes.  1.) I've directed the book specifically to CHRISTIANS.  Non-Christians who are fans of Lennon seem to idolize the man so much it's impossible to get through to them.  They HATE you just for being honest about John. 2.) I've changed the title AND the cover art. 3.) I've added new material to the book, to bring it up-to-date.  4.) My longtime, excellent editor Martha Ireland is doing a great job RE-EDITING the book and 5.) We're going to put it up on AMAZON this time, where I might actually sell a few copies, Lol!!

Diana Ross turns 75 tomorrow!!  I thought I'd mention that TODAY because it occurred to me, even as The Beatles split up in 1970 and Lennon went HIS own way, Diana left The Supremes in 1970 and began HER solo career.  Though I did buy her first two albums after she left The Supremes, and liked them, I was never "into" her like I was "into" John Lennon, and I have no plans to ever write a book about HER (Lol)!!

I'm sure Diana Ross has written one about HERSELF, Lol!! Maybe more than one. After all, when I checked Wikipedia for a full list of her albums, there are EIGHT which have her name, either as "Diana Ross" or "Diana" or "Ross," in the title.  (Talk about VAIN!!)

About two years ago I watched "Lady Sings The Blues" for the first time and I wasn't that impressed, frankly, by her acting skills.  (I never saw any of her OTHER movies, though so maybe that one was a fluke.)  And Diana made news recently by defending Michael Jackson's rep in the wake of "Leaving Neverland."  She apparently Tweeted, and PLEADED, that Jackson's accusers "Stop In The Name of Love".......  I thought THAT was pretty lame, ALSO.

But as she turns 75 tomorrow, my hope for Diana Ross is that she's saved as she, (like each of us), draws closer to the day she will stand before the Lord of all, and His Judgment.

"TRUTH About Trout and Ruth / Ichiro and Rose / Seaver Update"

TRUTH About Trout and Ruth.  So, Mike Trout signed a 400-plus million deal to stay with the Angels.  I have VERY mixed reactions!!  Part of me is "proud" that a "local" New Jersey boy signed the biggest professional sports contract in history.  Part of me says IT'S RIDICULOUS TO PAY ANYONE THAT TYPE OF MONEY TO PLAY A GAME.  Part of me is happy to know that the arrogant Manny Muchado must be bitter because HIS deal of "only" 300 mil was so quickly eclipsed (Lol).  And, part of me wishes my YANKEES had signed Trout (though I understand we have to save money to resign JUDGE one day soon.)

But the BIGGEST part of me resents the premature comparisons between Trout and BABE RUTH.

Trout has what, 240 home runs after 8 seasons??  It's a joke...the TRUTH about Trout and Ruth is that Mike Trout can't hold a candle to The Babe.  If Ruth were playing today, he'd demand a BILLION dollars for a 12 year deal, and he'd get it!!  People forget that Ruth was a PITCHER for his first few seasons, which is the ONLY reason Trout has more homers at this point in his career than RUTH had at that same point.  (That, and the fact that when Babe played there were fewer games per season than now, which ALSO contributed to less at bats per season, for Babe.)

I think Mike Trout is a GREAT player, don't misunderstand me....but to say he could be the greatest player ever, that he's better than RUTH or MAYS, well, at THIS point that's going WAY too far.  He might, EVENTUALLY be the greatest player ever but he has to prove it....and THE JUDGE (Aaron Judge) may issue a different ruling, as HIS career progresses.

I believe sports writers are pumping up Trout BECAUSE of the contract he got.



Ichiro and Rose.  ICHIRO SUZUKI retired in Japan the other day, at age 45.  He was a GREAT player here in America and deserves entry into our Baseball Hall of Fame on the very first ballot.  But those who say that HE is baseball's all-time hits leader by adding up his JAPAN hits and his AMERICAN ones are simply wrong.  PETE ROSE is the all-time hits leader, based on what he did entirely in THIS country.  Period.

It's about time that ROSE was let into the Hall, maybe then there wouldn't be this lust to declare ICHIRO the all-time hits leader!! The Baseball Hall of Fame is NOT about character, it's about achievements.  (If it were about character, why, Ruth wouldn't be in there!!) Ichiro was squeaky-clean regarding character, but we shouldn't try to spin it that HE's the all-time hits leader simply so that we can one day have one (hits leader) in the Hall.  Put Rose AND Ichiro in....on the same day, even!! 30 years of being banned is ENOUGH for Rose.  Identify Rose as the AMERICAN all-time hits leader and Ichiro as the INTERNATIONAL one, if you want, but put BOTH in there.  Just let's not spin ICHIRO as the all-time hits leader because ROSE is not in The Hall.  It's as silly as saying Trout is better than Ruth!!  



Finally, Tom Seaver Update.  On March 8th, I wrote about how New York Mets Hall of Fame pitcher TOM SEAVER has Dementia.  I'm glad to hear that they are going to erect a statue, and name a street after him!!  The Mets seem to be very lax (as least as compared to my YANKEES) regarding honoring their past stars, but THIS is a step in the right direction, for sure!!  He deserves this honor.

"GOD'S Timetable Is Not OURS"

Today. they say, is "the first FULL day of Spring," and the weather is Rainy.  Damp.  Drizzly.

In a word........... "Icky."

And knowing human nature as I do, I'm sure there are some who are wondering "Doesn't God know it's SPRING yet?"  We tend to forget, it is MAN who said that Spring officially began yesterday at 5:56 pm, and it is MAN who says that today is "the first full day of Spring."  God, in His Infallible Word, never said that.  All God promised is that as long as the earth endures, there WILL be Spring (Genesis 8:22.)  He never said exactly when it begins, or how long it will last, or how Spring-y the weather will be, once it comes.  And perhaps the "unSpringlike" weather here in my part of N.J. on this "first full day of Spring" in 2019 serves as a good reminder about another, more important issue.  (At least it does to ME.)

GOD'S TIMETABLE IS NOT OURS REGARDING WHEN SPRING WILL KICK IN OR WHEN JESUS WILL RETURN, EITHER.

You see, as it states that Spring will return, but not exactly WHEN, Scripture promises that Jesus WILL return......but it doesn't say WHEN.  Oh, there are certainly "signs" that His Return is drawing closer...absolutely!! Just like the days being longer now clue us in that SPRING is drawing closer.

But "no man knows the day or the hour" of Christ's return..not even Jesus, Himself (Matthew 24:36.)  Sadly, throughout church history there have been fools who thought they could predict, with certainty, WHEN He'd return and that is even more unwise than thinking that Spring LITERALLY began at 5:56 pm yesterday, and so therefore weather must "act" like Spring weather now or else God somehow failed.

I learned yesterday that supposedly, a NEW prediction is out there saying that Donald Trump is "the last trump" mentioned in the Bible before Jesus returns ...people trying to hold GOD to our American four year election cycle now!!

When will we learn?? Spring will come when GOD says it will come!! And, it will!! There is no sense impatiently asking "Where is the Spring weather He promised" because HE never promised Spring weather ON "the first full day of Spring."

Christ will return when GOD THE FATHER says He will return...and He will!! It's no use to ask "Where is the promise of His coming?" (2 Peter 3:4), just believe that He WILL come and be ready to greet Him with as many others as you can help prepare for The Day when He arrives.  Above all, remember...GOD'S timetable is not OURS!!

"Confused Young People"

A survey by a company called "Endoc" found that 3 out of 5 young people feel they are stressed more than OTHER generations are.  I found the order of things which stress them to be, as Arte Johnson (a comedian from MY generation, pictured above) would say, "Verrrrrrrrrrrry interestingk." 

These "stressers" appear in the order they were chosen by the young folks....


1. Losing wallet / credit card
2. Arguing with partner
3. Commute / traffic delays
4. Losing phone
5. Arriving late to work
6. Slow WiFi
7. Phone battery dying
8. Forgetting passwords
9. Credit card fraud
10. Forgetting phone charger
11. Losing / misplacing keys
12. Paying bills
13. Job interviews
14. Phone screen breaking
15. Credit card bills
16. Check engine light coming on
17. School loan payments
18. Job security
19. Choosing what to wear
20. Washing dishes


What is very interesting is what's NOT listed!!

A.)  There is, apparently, little concern about ETERNAL things (Is there a God?  What is the meaning of life?  Where will I go when I die? Etc.)  All their concern, in the 20 items listed, is about THIS life and the things, issues and problems therein. Sad.

B.)  As this generation is infamous for accepting the lie of "Gender Fluidity," with one list I've seen identifying about 100 differing possible genders now, you would think that these young people would be stressed about CHOOSING THE RIGHT GENDER.  Apparently not!!

"Gender Fluidity Issues" is nowhere listed among these 20 stressful things!!

As for A.), it's not THAT odd...ALL of us, young or older, have little or no concern about eternal things unless GOD awakens us.  But as for B.).....no stress regarding choosing the right gender for yourself.....that really blows my mind.  If you really believe you have all of those options (you DON'T...God either made you Male or Female)...and you're no longer a kid, you're a YOUNG PERSON...wouldn't you at least have SOME concern that you've chosen the right gender for yourself??  How can this NOT cause you stress at LEAST as much as "19. Choosing what to wear"??

Maybe these young people don't believe in "Gender Fluidity" as much as the media says they do.  Or, maybe my answer is more obvious...they DO believe "Gender Fluidity" causes stress, but they're afraid to say so because of Political Correctness.

Crazy.

Either way, we have a VERY confused group of young people who understand technology very well but can't even figure out what sex they are...and (if we take them at their word) that fact apparently causes them NO CONCERN, WHATSOEVER.

If someone were to ask ME (at age 64) what stresses ME, well, high up on my list would be "Confused Young People" who soon will be taking the reins of leadership in this nation.  Thankfully, I know there IS a God and HE is in control but the longer I live, the more the young folks of today SCARE me to PRAYER, frankly!!

"Will Judge Jeanine's Show Return?? (And If Not, WHY Not??)

I'm not one who watches Judge Jeanine's Fox show anymore, on Saturday nights, but I'm quite concerned that her highly rated show may have been canceled.  I've read that it did not air this PAST Saturday night apparently because of something she said on the air the PREVIOUS Saturday.  Here's what Jeanine queried, speaking of Rep. Omar, (D-Minn, who, of course, is a Muslim):

"Omar wears a hijab which according to the Quran 33:59 tells women to cover so they won't get molested. Is her adherence to this Islamic doctrine indicative of her adherence to Sharia law which in itself is antithetical to the United States constitution?"

Jeanine's question is perfectly apropos, and it leaves me with a few questions of my OWN.

Is THIS why Judge Pirro's show was replaced Saturday night?? And if so, was this the ONLY "offensive" quote??  

What is so inappropriate about this question, pray tell?? 

And it's ONLY a question, mind you....a question asked after Omar made anti-Semitic comments recently which even have many DEMOCRATS up in arms.  There are many OTHER reasons to question her loyalty to this country, by the way, yet Fox (which I hardly watch at all, anymore) made Omar very happy by publicly rebuking Jeanine / not airing her show.

I am glad that President Trump has come out in defense of Jeanine and I'm also glad that she has refused (thus far) to apologize. If that is the ONLY reason her show may be canceled for good, it's ridiculous.

Of course THIS person (above) is VERY happy with Jeanine not being on the air Saturday night and would LOVE her show to be permanently axed.

I stopped watching Jeanine's show when she was constantly railing against Hillary Clinton a few years back.  It bugged me because Hillary was running for President, a position she never could have attained unless she climbed the ladder by winning a Senate seat in New York State years earlier.  Jeanine, the same one railing against Hillary, ran AGAINST Hillary for that Senate seat, but dropped out of the race in midstream!!  It bugged me that she was complaining then about a problem she didn't prevent when Hillary was a relatively small problem years earlier....that's why I stopped tuning in.  But Jeanine's right to question Hillary Clinton's patriotism was never questioned...nor should it have been.

Why is she in trouble for questioning OMAR, here in 2019??

Yes, Jeanine questioned things about HILLARY'S patriotism just the same as she's questioned OMAR'S...so what?? Why are MUSLIMS now exempt from being questioned??  Jeanine failed to nip HILLARY in the bud so maybe she's trying to nip OMAR in the bud, before SHE climbs up the ladder of politics...good for her.  I don't WANT Sharia Law in this country and neither should anyone who loves freedom and shudders at the thought of America becoming ISLAMERICA..

Perhaps the reason Jeanine's show wasn't aired on Saturday was because of the murder of the 49 Muslims in New Zealand on Friday...an attack which I condemned wholeheartedly (see my last blog.) Perhaps Fox thought Jeanine's comments the week before were too inflammatory in light of what happened in New Zealand, and they gave her show a week off.  I hope that's all it is, though IF it's the reason I'm not sure it's a good one.  

Saw this meme (above) on Facebook this morning....I'm not sure if THIS is the answer, EITHER...it's what a lot of Liberal people would want, and what THEY want is NEVER good.

Jeanine's show SHOULD return to the air THIS Saturday....but if it does not, WHY not??  She asked, in my opinion, a perfectly legitimate question, one that many of us ARE asking and SHOULD ask.

"New Zealand Mosque Shooter: Hang Him High"

49 human beings murdered.   Premeditated.   Live Streamed on Facebook.  49 Muslims unexpectedly sent into eternity, unprepared.  And FOREVER linking the name of "Christchurch" to this evil deed.  If ANYONE deserves the Death Penalty, it's the demon who I learned about only this morning.  I only hope New Zealand has the guts to do it...and QUICKLY.

The Bible says "Because the sentence against an evil deed is not executed quickly, therefore the hearts of the sons of men among them are given fully to do evil" (Ecclesiastes 8:11, New American Standard Version.) If the New Zealand government DOESN'T make an example of this guy, Muslims may retaliate and other evil people who don't like immigrants might be tempted to follow the Mosque Shooter's example.  Hang Him High, I say (borrowing the title of an old Clint Eastwood movie)....and SOON.  Justice delayed IS justice denied.

And yes, I know there are Christians who oppose the Death Penalty because they say ALL human life is sacred...but I see no analogy between Abortion, killing an unborn, "innocent" baby, and putting a GUILTY MASS MURDERER to death for his crimes.  In THIS scenario, we uphold the Sanctity of Human Life by avenging the 49 poor souls who were slain.  Do it. Do it NOW, none of this "life imprisonment is a WORSE punishment," none of this "You'll only make him a Martyr if you execute him," none of this "he's insane, don't execute him." If you keep him alive in prison he'll eventually find a way to share his twisted thoughts with the world, and he might even PROFIT MONETARILY from it.  As for "making him a martyr," hey, Martyrs are usually put to death for their beliefs.  In THIS case, THIS guy DESERVES the death sentence.  And, "insanity?" Anyone who kills ANY human being in a premediated fashion, barring WARTIME, is a LITTLE insane.  So what.

"Vengeance is Mine, I will repay says the Lord" is a Scripture passage which refers to private individuals, but the Bible gives GOVERNMENTS the right to punish sin, and THIS sin calls for the Death Penalty.  And as far as "We'll be no better than HIM if we put him to death"......PLEASE!! Spare me this Liberalism!!

Give him 24 hours to get right with the Lord.  Have New Zealander, esteemed Bible teacher  Ray Comfort go and preach the Gospel to him.  Give HIM the chance to find forgiveness through Christ that he denied to those 49 Muslims.  Then, EXECUTE him...allow a Muslim to do the deed and rather than stream it live on Facebook, make it PAY-PER-VIEW and let all proceeds go to the families of the slain.

Maybe THAT way we can avoid "revenge" attacks, or copycats!!

"The Process of Giving Blood, 2019"

Today is 44 years since the Lord saved me*, and yes, I celebrated by GIVING BLOOD (Lol).  It actually is quite an experience (giving blood), at least for ME it always has been (until today...more later).  Giving my blood to help someone else reminds me of how JESUS gave HIS precious Blood, for ME, you see!!

I first started giving blood 20 years ago, when I lived up in North Jersey.  The little "beginning" church we met in rented a Red Cross building, and because the Red Cross gave us a big discount to use it on Sundays, the powers-that-be encouraged us to participate in their annual Blood Drive.  1999 was my FIRST time as a donor, at age 44, and I've donated just about every year since then.  So when I was called last week and offered a "March 13th" appointment this year, well, I jumped on it!! (And OF COURSE I want to help the recent disaster victims...that goes without saying!!)

The PROCESS of donating blood has CHANGED over the years, however.

For example, take a close look at my arm in the photo above...the arm with the red bandage still on it.  That's the first time I ever recall the Red Cross bandaging me up with what appears to be a.........RED CROSS, Lol!!  (You may have to enlarge the pic to see what I'm referring to.)

(That was one of the "so what" changes.  OTHERS are way more aggravating.)

Example: As part of a screening process when you enter to give blood, you now have to read a 12 page collection of waivers, warnings and personal, probing questions that make you wish you brought your LAWYER with you before you sign your name to it.  This has been going on for a FEW years but every NEW year the material you have to wade through gets longer and longer and longer.

Then, I finally "advanced" over to the lady who was actually going to take my blood.  I produced my Driver's License (which was renewed not even three months ago and which shows my age, BTW.) She looked at it and asked me "Do you still identify as a MALE, Mr. Jelinski?" Boy, did I get mad that my intelligence had to be insulted that way!!  I realize she HAS to ask that ("FDA regulations," I'm told), but it's never happened before and if our society wasn't  Kow-towing and bowing down to certain nutty elements in our midst, it wouldn't be happening NOW.  

Anyway, so OF COURSE she took my blood pressure next (Lol) and it was high....(not SO high that I couldn't donate, mind you, but a bit higher than it SHOULD be, and undoubtedly higher than it was when I entered the building.)  "Your blood pressure isn't normal," she informed me, and I then informed HER that neither was her QUESTION normal but nonetheless *I* am normal, Lol!! 

A normal MAN.  (And BTW, my blood pressure calmed down now that I'm home for lunch and venting about this experience, here on my blog.)

You see, one of the dumb questions I had to answer before I could give blood was "Have you, as a man, had sex with another man."  Yes, I know this is done to keep people with AIDS from spreading it (and BTW, wow, what a candid, correct admission by the Red Cross that Homosexual activity is a prime way AIDS is spread!!)  But suppose I did NOT "identify" as a man, and yet I DID have sex with another man and then donated my risk-laden blood??  See how EASY it is to beat the system, if someone wanted to give blood, lie and try to spread AIDS to straight people?? 

Yes, of course, all blood the Red Cross collects is subsequently tested for AIDS...so even though a malicious gay person might get away with donating AIDS-ridden blood, hopefully it will get intercepted, destroyed and never used.  

Hopefully.

But I'm starting to think 20 years of my donating blood is enough.  Let people who are NOT offended when asked if they identify as something other than what they are now be the donors. The process of donating blood today is, pardon the pun, too draining for me anymore.  There were only a FEW donors today, and I wouldn't be surprised if normal folks like me feel as I do (the guys I chatted with during cookies and juice time afterwards agreed). Most importantly, I believe that the Lord Who mercifully saved me through CHRIST'S Blood 44 years ago today understands where I'm coming from, 100%.  It's not worth the aggravation, humiliation or risk to donate blood anymore....at least not for ME.

And after all, there are many other ways Christ can be worshiped, other than my going through the process of giving blood!!

Bottom line: I now "identify" as an EX Blood Donor.

"Obama MOCKED the Bible...Where Was The Outrage?"

President Donald Trump recently caused a big stir by AUTOGRAPHING SOME BIBLES.  Now, if some Christians have a problem with that (I don't), that's fine....I respect that as long as they expressed MORE outrage when the PREVIOUS President MOCKED the Bible.

If someone (black OR white) takes exception to Trump "blasphemously" signing copies of Scripture but didn't care to know or comment on Obama 's blasphemies regarding God's Holy Word, they have no credibility with me.  None.  Clearly, Obama got a free pass from many black folks because he's black, and many white folks probably think they proved they aren't racist by ALSO giving him that very same "free pass," (though I think a "free pass" given solely because of someone's skin color proves that they ARE racists.)

And that (hypocrisy) I most certainly DO have a problem with!!

A black man named ERIK RUSH wrote a great book (above) around the time Obama first got elected, called "Negrophilia."  It's basically an expose of how white people, laden with "White Guilt," give special treatment to blacks, acting as if they can do no wrong, etc.  (Kind of "Reverse Racism" written by a black man who is correctly insulted by that.  You might say he has a "negative reaction" to "Affirmative Action," as well, Lol!!)

If you spoke out angrily about Trump signing Bibles but were silent when Obama blasphemed it, (and by the way, apparently HE signed Bibles TOO, but seemingly no one cared), you might want to get a copy of "Negrophilia," and read it. I have.

"Make the Most of Your Marriage"

50 years ago this month, Beatles Paul McCartney and John Lennon both got married to their wives within 8 days of each other.  I only learned this odd fact because I recently bought one of those cheap paperback books that outlines major events from 1969 (pictured above).   See, I'm trying to prevent getting the Dementia I wrote about in my LAST post by revisiting Memory Lane....been sharpening my memory for many, many years this way.

Anyway, I found this proximity of those marriages interesting, and it was something I never "caught" at the time because I really wasn't "into" the Beatles until they broke up a year later, 1970, when I was 15.

(Of course everything I've just written assumes the book I refer to is ACCURATE, which may not be the case as they have Richard Nixon being elected President on 1/6/'69 and sworn in two weeks later (1/20/'69), Lol!! And THAT isn't right, Lol!!)

But be that as it may, it was fascinating to see Paul (and his bride Linda) and John (and his Yoko) pictured in that very same spread which you can view above (and yes, they DID get married 8 days apart...I checked google)!!  You see, in these past 50 years, death has claimed one partner in each of those two Beatle marriages, though I'm sure they all had that sense that "this is forever" on their wedding days.  It's all a reminder to me how TRANSIENT this life is and, how all marriages, though they hopefully last UNTIL the death of one of the spouses, DO end when that death inevitably occurs.

(And I freely admit that because MY first wife died two years ago last week, my thoughts about Lennon and McCartney's marriages were affected as I perused the book.)

You see, the moment my wife Beth passed away, on 3/5/'17, two things happened.  1.) After 69-plus years of life, she immediately entered into the glorious presence of the Lord!! and 2.) After 38 years-plus of marriage, our marriage here on earth was instantly, and forever, over.


What am I leading up to, here?? Just this....take it from one who knows, LIFE IS SHORT, years roll by and sometimes we don't realize how fast this is happening.  MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR MARRIAGE, if you're married.  By that I mean let THE LORD and HIS WORD be your day-by-day source of Light and Strength, and above all, LOVE (your spouse) EVERY DAY AS IF IT WILL BE YOUR LAST.  That's right, I didn't say LIVE every day as if it will be your last...I said LOVE every day as if it will be your last.  It is totally possible to LIVE every day as if it's your last and yet be selfish, self-centered and self-absorbed.  That is not possible, however, if we LOVE every day as if it's our last.  There is NO marriage in Heaven, according to Scripture, so we had better make the most of our marriages here and NOW.

This is my daily, fervent prayer regarding my second marriage (that I would LOVE my new bride every day, as if it will be my last.).  Sometimes looking at the past helps us to live more wisely in the present and, I trust, the FUTURE.

At least  I hope that's the case, for even one of those who has read this far.

"Dementia"

Here in the New York area today, the sad news is all about former NY Met TOM SEAVER.  Now 74, Seaver has been diagnosed with Dementia and a statement released through the Hall of Fame says he is not going to appear in public anymore.

Though I'm a New York YANKEE fan, the news still hit me hard because even *I* was celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 1969 "Miracle Mets" this year.  How sad that SEAVER, who played such a key role for that '69 team, will apparently be unable to remember much about it.  (By the way, Seaver WAS a Yankee broadcaster when he retired from his playing days, as I recall.)

Dementia is a terrible, terrible thing...it must be like being dead while you're still alive, if you can't remember your own life and accomplishments and milestones.  I've been blessed with a GREAT memory, which (even though I can recall BAD things along with the good) is something I hope I'll always have in this life (God Willing.)  Seaver's diagnosis shows how this world can "pass away" from us even while we are still..."HERE."  As a Christian, I know that if I ever get Dementia, I may forget EVERYONE...even Jesus my Savior...but HE will never forget ME, and that's a comfort!!

Seaver's decision to stay out of the public eye now means he will NOT be at the Mets' 50th Anniversary celebration of '69 (June), nor at the Hall of Fame induction ceremonies (July.)  Any who are inclined to PRAY might want to remember his family, and, of course HIM in these dark, dark days to come.

"Wanted: Real Life 'Captain Marvels' "

My wife and I bought our tickets to the new "Captain Marvel" movie (debuts tm'w) weeks ago!!  We see EVERY Marvel  Comics movie when it first comes out, if possible.  Our very first date was to a Marvel movie!!  And, we are very excited about "Captain Marvel" because (it's no secret, it's all over the internet) she's about to become the leader of The Avengers in THEIR next movie (April).  Yes, Captain Marvel is supposedly taking over for Captain America, a man. 

Now, it so happens that this month is "Women's History Month" and, in fact, tm'w is "International Women's Day."  Therefore, I am positive, even BEFORE seeing the movie tomorrow, that Captain Marvel will be portrayed a strong, intelligent, self-confident woman CAPABLE of leading such a diverse group.  (Marvel wouldn't release the movie during these events, if that were not the case!!)

But it's too bad there are no "Captain Marvels" regarding team leadership roles in REAL life.

For example, there are THESE three anti-Israel Representatives who are newly-elected "leaders"....

\1.) Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

2.) Rep. Rashida Tlaib, and...

3.) Rep. Ilhan Omar.

Remember, when you see "Rep." in front of their names that does NOT stand for "Republican," Republicans are PRO-Israel!!  These ladies are all DEMOCRATS, and each one of them should be removed from office because of their attacks on the Jews.  They are un-American and anti-Semetic, not to mention the fact that they say and do so many dumb things it makes me wonder if they're redoing "The Three Stooges" movie with a FEMALE cast, consisting of these three.

Again...Wanted: "Real Life" Captain Marvels!!

Well, I do know of at least ONE!!  She isn't a politician but she COULD lead the country...and well...if she had that inclination.  She doesn't lead in our MARRIAGE but she could easily lead a group without being divisive (unlike the three above.)  She's godly and smart and beautiful, too!! And here's what I posted about her, just the other day, on Facebook...

"Of DiMaggio and Mays"

I'm at it again!! A new letter to the New York papers questions why Willie Mays is still not being named Joe DiMaggio's successor as "Greatest Living Ballplayer"...20 years after DiMaggio's death.

Here's the letter, which I just e-mailed to papers in the city BOTH of them played in...

It's hard to believe that, 20 years ago this week, New York Yankee great Joe DiMaggio died.  "The Yankee Clipper," in his latter years, often referred to himself as "The Greatest Living Ballplayer" and the entire baseball world went along with that.  But why has no one named Willie Mays "The Greatest Living Ballplayer" since Joe D.'s demise?

I'm a Yankee fan, but if you go strictly by stats, Mays was "The Greatest Living Ballplayer" even while DiMaggio was still with us. True, DiMag was married to Marilyn Monroe, was considered better looking than most men and starred in more TV commercials than Mays.  And Willie grew up idolizing Joe, not vice versa.  But Mays was always better as a ballplayer in nearly every major category, and that's what "The Greatest Living Ballplayer" designation should be all about.

I have to ask this question: Is it possible that Mays has not been given the honor because of some sort of lingering racism in America? There was a time in this nation, after all, when Willie would not have even been allowed to play in the major leagues.  In any event, 20 years is long enough to wait to see Mays get his due.  Unlike Joe, it's not in Willie's nature to speak of himself as "The Greatest Living Ballplayer," so Major League Baseball needs to do it for him.

"Abortion...The Ultimate Child Abuse"

Oprah Winfrey, after viewing "Leaving Neverland," has admitted that Michael Jackson sexually abused kids, and condemned that.  Good for her.  I don't care for Oprah personally, but when she's right she's right and her stand WILL cost her, I'm sure, with those who say she's betraying a fellow black person.

In recent years, celebs like Oprah have commented on cases like the Penn State situation, the Catholic Church sex abuse scandal, and others and they have always sided with the now-grownups who say they were abused as children.  I hope this is the start of a trend that will lead them to speak up for the ULTIMATE example of child abuse...namely, Abortion.

Aborted kids don't get to grow up and eventually speak out about how THEY were "mistreated," you see.  They don't get to eventually expose their murderers.  As horrible as sexual abuse is, and despite the unimaginable scars it leaves, there is at least the HOPE of eventual recovery.  But when a child is aborted (or, now, murdered after birth, even), there is no recovery for the child.  Maybe celebrities will begin to speak out FOR them, as their voices are being terminated BEFORE they can speak.  (Of course, it's hard for anyone to speak against a practice they believe in...but that's a whole 'nother "Chetitorial.")

In my blog of Jan. 28th of this year, I expressed the hope that "Leaving Neverland" will end the idolatry of Michael Jackson in America and elsewhere.  Now that OPRAH has spoken up to admit that Michael was indeed, as his song says, a "Smooth Criminal," I'm hoping even more than THAT will come of it all.  It's a start, but I pray for even MORE...I hope Oprah's stand will have a "domino effect" and cause many to evaluate, and condemn, Abortion...The Ultimate Child Abuse.

"Young Ladies Need Their Dads / Machado, Harper and Mariano / New 'Madea' Movie"

My mom (pictured above, as I see her artistically) passed away 12 years ago today.  Last month in one of my blogs, I mentioned how she taught me to always tell the truth.  Today, I want to focus on ANOTHER lesson she imparted, not by what she said so much but through something I observed over the course of her very sad, and troubled life.  It is this.

....Young ladies need their dads!!

My mom never knew her dad, he left her when she was a kid and therefore my mom developed a very low self-image because of that.  This explains (though, not excuses) the way she threw herself at one "unworthy" guy after another in an attempt to find love, using sex as the "bait."  (Yes, I include my own FATHER in that parade of "unworthy guys"...he led the parade, to be honest and HE left her, TOO.) This emptiness mom felt later led to the sin of alcoholism, as well....which only led to MORE lacking of proper self-esteem!!

Fathers, (if you are reading this), AFFIRM YOUR DAUGHTERS, it is our job to make our daughters feel loved and appreciated, and to boost their self-image so they won't be vulnerable to smooth-talking guys who will exploit the "void," if one is present.  I believe my mom made it to Heaven, but it was the HARD way.  Help your daughter's road to be as easy as possible!!  First of all, DON'T LEAVE and second of all, GET INVOLVED IN YOUR DAUGHTER'S LIFE as much as she'll let you.  GUYS need MOMS and DAUGHTERS need DADDYS...never forget it!!

Machado, Harper and Mariano-  My Yankees were SO smart to pass on free agents Manny Machado and Bryce Harper, in the off-season!!  Machado (300 million for 10 years) signed with the San Diego Padres and Harper (330 million for 13 years)  wound up with the Philadelphia Phillies. Both seem like "good fits," Machado's lazy attitude will fit WELL with the laid-back West Coast team and Harper, known as a trouble-maker, will fit well in the "Fighting City of Philadelphia."  NEITHER of them would fit with the Yanks.

And obviously, NEITHER of them is worth the money they are getting.  If the Yankees met THEIR demands, how will they be able to pay JUDGE and some of their OTHER huge, young stars in a few years??  Baseball players today are ALL overpaid but Harper and Machado are............Overpaid.

I had great news regarding former Yankee / new Hall of Famer MARIANO RIVERA yesterday, though!! Someone purchased 1000 of the tracts I did, witnessing Christ through his accomplishments!!  Who knows, maybe it was Mo, himself (I showed him the tract when I met him 9 months ago, see my blog for June 5th of last year.)  If you want to see those tracts, check out this page...

Now, lastly, New "Madea" Movie- (Warning: SPOILERS!!)  I saw the new "Madea" movie (above) as it debuted last night, and, though there WERE some good, solid laughs with clean humor, I was very disappointed. Here's why (READ FURTHER AT YOUR OWN RISK!!  SPOILER ALERT)

Unlike the EARLIEST Madea movies, "Diary" and "Family Reunion," this one has very little of an underlying  "Christian" theme to it.  And, not surprisingly,  it's therefore far RAUNCHIER than the previous ones I've seen.  Though there are two new characters introduced, there are really no "good guys" in this movie, unlike previous ones.  No men who want to LOVE their wives, no cool "ministers" like Viola Davis in "Madea Goes to Jail" or John Amos in "Witness Protection," no godly moms or matriarchal figures. Instead, I noticed a few gay guys in the church group (a first for a Madea movie), one was even singing in the choir.  And I thought to myself the "ground" Tyler Perry (the author) is "breaking" looks as if it is to BURY his popular Madea character.

Additionally, I didn't mind a white cop being shown as racist or a black PASTOR being shown as a BUFFOON, because some are those things, to be sure!! But it would have been nice to show a GOOD pastor and a GOOD cop, ALSO!! (For that matter, it would have been nice to see ANYONE good in this movie....the only one HALFway "good" was BRIAN, but he wound up looking naive and gullible, with good intentions but not........GOOD.)

Which leads me to say this: Tyler is going to be in nearby Philadelphia performing later this month, in something called "Madea's Farewell Tour."  I looked into tickets but couldn't afford them, and now I say.....GOOD!!  Hey, these are Tyler's characters and Tyler's movies and Tyler's plays and obviously he can do what he wants with them, but personally I'm starting to think that it's TIME for Madea to say "Farewell." (And could it be that TYLER is beginning to sense that he needs to say "Farewell" to the character before he totally messes up?? )

In short, this movie was MADEA'S "funeral," as far as I'm concerned.
