"Will Liberals See 'Racism' in the Mets Honoring SEAVER?"

New York Mets pitching great TOM SEAVER died yesterday at age 75.  And, at about 4 pm today, my New York Yankees PLAY those Mets at the Mets' ballpark, Citi Field.  Without a doubt there will be SOME sort of mention of Seaver before the game...at least there SHOULD be!! The guy was AMAZING. But the question in MY mind is whether or not Liberals will see RACISM in the honor that Seaver gets.

You see, for some weird reason, the very ROTUNDA of this stadium honors JACKIE ROBINSON, the gutsy Dodger star who broke the color barrier, even though it's the METS' stadium and Jackie never PLAYED for the Mets!! Why, the Mets didn't even EXIST when Jackie played baseball!!  Here's a PHOTO of Citi Field's Rotunda, and notice Jackie's NUMBER....

And in case you don't see what the potential problem is, let me spell it out for you.

1.) Liberals, white AND black Liberals, see White Racism, "White Privilege" and "White Supremacy" EVERYWHERE these days. Even when it doesn't exist. 

2.) Tom Seaver wore #41 and was WHITE.

3.) Jackie Robinson was BLACK, and wore #42.

In this nutty, Politically Correct, upside-down world, who's to say that the Libs WHO DON'T KNOW HISTORY, who don't know that Seaver WAS a Met and Jackie WASN'T, won't think that the Mets are sending a message of "White Supremacy" by honoring a white #41 especially after ALL OF BASEBALL celebrated Jackie Robinson, #42, AGAIN last week??  THIS is the problem with the Mets' management giving UNDUE honor to Jackie in the first place. Why, they even put a statue of JACKIE up WAY before SEAVER'S went up....and fans had to DEMAND that "The Franchise," the "Greatest Player in Mets History" be honored that way only last year!!  Hey, I've written blogs here before honoring Jackie, myself (search my blog history) and I did at least ONE I can remember about SEAVER, but why did Mets' fans have to DEMAND a Seaver statue over ten years after their new ballpark honored JACKIE?? Let's just hope that these nutty Liberals don't decide to DEFACE or DESTROY the Seaver statue after the Mets honor him today!!

I'll be tuning in on the Yankees' channel to see MY team play the Mets at four today. I believe Tom Seaver should be honored, and they'd BETTER show it on TV.  But unfortunately, I will, indeed have to wonder if the honoring of SEAVER will provoke Liberals to once again see RACISM where there is none. It's ridiculous that it has to be this way.
