"Even After Being Shot, Reagan Never Tried to Take Our Guns Away"

Hard to believe, but 40 years ago today new President Ronald Reagan was shot at point blank range....and he lived!! He lived to become one of our greatest Presidents and win re-election (49 out of 50 states) in 1984. It's hard to believe that that was 40 years ago. I remember it vividly.

Reagan was the 2nd of three famous shootings which took place around that time period. The first was musician John Lennon, who died at the hand of an assassin in December 1980, and the third was Pope John Paul II in April 1981, the month after Reagan's shooting. (Like the Gipper, the Pope survived and thrived after his assassination attempt. He eventually died at age 84 in 2005, Ronald Wilson Reagan died at age 93, in 2004).

EVEN AFTER BEING SHOT, PRESIDENT REAGAN NEVER TRIED TO TAKE OUR GUNS AWAY!! Think about that. If he were a Liberal, he would have quickly made a "case" for it, by reminding everyone of JFK, MLK and RFK getting shot to death in the '60s, and then invoking the LENNON assassination of three months earlier. (All four of those men were Liberal icons, though King was a Republican).

This shameless "let's ban guns" appeal would all be done, of course, from Reagan's hospital bed where HE was recovering from being shot (for dramatic effect). And were he a Liberal, he might even add in a "Maybe I've lived to FINALLY be the President who brings an end to gun violence" to INCREASE his ability to manipulate the masses.

Reagan DIDN'T do that: he knew America had a Second Amendment to prevent tyranny from the Government. He respected the Constitution and would never seek to exploit his OWN shooting to try to change it. In short, he WASN'T (thankfully) a Liberal, which is why they hate him so much. Some Libs have even made a big deal of the fact that he was a "666"......six letters in each of his three names, first, middle and last. That's how much they despise him for his "missed opportunity" to "get rid of guns.")

But THAT is one big reason why he was re-elected in a landslide, and our nation was so UNIFIED under him, come 1984!! Reagan did NOT try to exploit his own shooting to eliminate citizens having guns, unlike Clinton, Obama and Biden, who were never PERSONALLY shot but like to blame GUNS for what sinful people do with them...........to OTHERS. It was God using his "strong constitution" which helped the Gipper survive the shooting, but it was Reagan's love for THE Constitution which has helped America remain as free as we have been since March 30th, 1981. 

"The Vaccine: Is the Cure Worse Than the Disease?"

Famed middleweight boxer MARVELOUS MARVIN HAGLER died suddenly on Saturday. 

I have long related to Marvin. He is from Newark, NJ where I was from. He was the same age when he died (66) as I am now. But there is one thing (besides him being a boxer, which I am NOT) that I cannot relate to: Marvin allegedly got the COVID Vaccination several days before he died. THERE IS NO WAY THAT I INTEND TO GET THE COVID VACCINE UNLESS I’M FORCED TO.

Yes, in case you missed it, Boxer Thomas “Hit Man” Hearns posted on Social Media Saturday that “Hagler was in ICU" after getting the Vax and "needed prayer." Shortly thereafter, Hagler DIED. (And remember when baseball great HANK AARON got the Vax and died shortly thereafter, only recently)??

Granted, Hearns is backtracking his comments SINCE then and there is no PROOF Aaron died from the Vaccination. But I was ALREADY leery of the Vax considering how our government has experimented on black people before (and so is my immediate family)!! When I see two prominent black former ATHLETES die anywhere “near” the Vax, well, it only confirms the suspicions we already have. It’s certainly not REASSURING.

I HAVE NO ISSUE WITH ANYONE WHO GETS VACCINATED and I am NOT trying to tell anyone what to do!! I am just sharing MY perspective, my "Chetitorial," that’s all.... as always.

Hagler died on the 46th anniversary of my salvation, and it's a reminder to me of how it's more important to be ready to go to Heaven when THIS life ends than it is to be successful and famous in this passing, temporary life. As Gilbert O'Sullivan sang, "I'm a Writer, Not a Fighter" and I will never achieve success WRITING as Hagler did BOXING. One just wonders, though, if Hagler's life, from the HUMAN standpoint, had to end so soon...and if that Vaccine isn't a case of the "Cure Being Worse Than The Disease."

CORRECT ME IF I’M WRONG, but isn’t George W. Bush the last living, Republican Ex-President (besides Trump)?? And wasn’t he President recently enough to recall how to run the nation in a way that is designed to IMPROVE America, not to UNDERMINE us?? 
He’s not senile, sadly out-of-touch with reality now, is he?? No??!! THEN HE SHOULD BE SPEAKING OUT ABOUT WHAT BIDEN (and whoever his Puppet Master is) IS DOING, CORRECT?? He has GOT to understand that Biden’s avalanche of Executive Orders are a deliberate attempt to put America under, and as the last living, Republican Ex-President who is NOT Donald Trump, he is the one BEST qualified to sound the alarm!! (Trump IS speaking out but many dismiss HIS critiques of Biden as “sour grapes” because of the stolen election.)

I mean, “W” was silent when OBAMA trashed America for 8 years, wasn’t he?? Doesn’t he know that BIDEN is a WHITE guy, it’s “okay” for him to criticize him?? And frankly, the way Biden has started out he is WORSE than Obama (so far). What is Bush waiting for, to speak up?? HE’S OVERDUE to show some guts here!!!

Isn’t he bugged enough to speak up regarding these changes in voting laws designed to keep a Republican President out of office in the future?? Doesn’t he CARE, or is his attitude “I got mine, I want to enjoy my retirement and not make waves”??

He spoke up against TRUMP sure enough, as I recall. And his critiques were unfounded (in my opinion), based more on the fact that Trump beat out “Jeb!” for the 2016 nomination. Does “W” know that it’s okay to criticize BIDEN if you’ve already let one of your OWN party get “the treatment”?? Isn’t Biden 100 times WORSE than Trump, as a President??
Is BUSH part of the SWAMP that Trump used to speak of??

Sadly, I fear that I know the answers to my questions about George W. Bush.

I used to like Bush, but I’m beginning to fear that his silence about Biden shows that he (Bush) is not the patriot I once thought he was. His true colors are coming out, and there’s a big streak of yellow right in the middle of them.

"How God Can Use This Pandemic for Good"

 

As we look around us, we can see many negative results from the Pandemic and ensuing Lockdowns and restrictions, now beginning their second year. People are more isolated from others who live outside their own homes, as get-togethers and visitations are somewhat suppressed. Churches have new limitations on how many can worship God “live” in the church building at one time. Some businesses have to close, which mean people must find new jobs or be unemployed. And others who are blessed to work from home may have new obstacles (school-age children who now have to remote-learn that are at home, requiring attention during their working hours, for example).

Furthermore, because of this Pandemic, women who are abused may have to spend more time at home with their abusers, ditto for abused children.  Violence is up. Pornography use is escalating, according to surveys, and I’m sure alcohol and drug use are increasing, as well. Many are depressed and angry and feel helpless to change things. Suicides are up! Yes, the list of ways that the Pandemic might affect society is a negative way is very, very long, but do we consider the GOOD that may come from it all?

Romans 8:28 distinctly says that “all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” (NKJV). This Scripture is especially comforting for those who are saved and therefore “love God,” those who know that He has called us and is working out HIS plan for our lives!  Yet, there is comfort for everyone, Christian or not, in this passage. You see, the verse shows that it is possible good CAN come out of anything and everything! Maybe that’s why the old saying declares that “there’s a silver lining in every cloud.” When we can’t socialize with friends outside our homes like we used to? Maybe it will help some as they must now cultivate relationships with their own immediate family more. The lack of access to “live” church services has caused many to learn to “Livestream,” a tool to reach people with the Gospel that will prove helpful even when this Pandemic ends. And ultra-busy parents who were used to pursuing their careers (and leaving the raising of their children exclusively to others) now have the opportunity to see how valuable THEIR input into their kids’ lives is, and to rethink priorities. What’s more important, your career or your children?

BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT WAYS THIS PANDEMIC MAY ACTUALLY BENEFIT US IS AS FOLLOWS. If we already know the Lord, this is an opportunity to GROW in Him. If you can leave your house, consider reaching out to help someone who maybe cannot, or will not, leave theirs. Reach out by telephone, text or e-mail. We certainly have many ways to communicate with others on the outside of our homes that previous generations did not have! Most of all, use the stewardship of more free time (if the pandemic affords you that) to grow as a Christian. Read more good books, watch or listen to godly TV and radio broadcasts more. One way the pandemic is benefitting ME is that I’ve come to see that there’s more I can, and need to, do around the house to help my wife out. Look for ways to serve more, first at home and then (if possible) outside of your home.

And to those who DON’T yet know or love the Lord, good may come out of this Pandemic for you, also. It’s a time to reflect on where you are at with God. See how He allowed the whole world to come to a standstill? One day, He may allow YOUR world…your PERSONAL world… to shut down “just like that.” Death may overtake you suddenly, and where will you go if you are not right with Him through the blood of Christ? All the trials of this Pandemic may be a blessing-in-disguise, if they cause you to see that your “hope” is passing away, you have not built your house upon the Rock, who is God, Himself.

In Psalm 119:67, David wrote “Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep Your word.” May the affliction of this Pandemic be used of God to cause MANY to “keep His word” and get saved! May we all see and seize the opportunities of this Pandemic Season!

"The Liberals' Phony CANCEL CULTURE CRUSADE"

The Liberals' CANCEL CULTURE CRUSADE targets any people they deem racist or NON-POLITICALLY CORRECT (as they see it). The most recent example is, of all people, "Dr. Seuss," who was condemned just yesterday.

BUT WHEN WILL THE LIBERALS “GO AFTER” THEIR FAVORITE MUSICIANS, AND THEIR MUSIC??

Here are just a few examples of those the Libs would be protesting *IF* they were consistent.

* The Beatles’ “White Album”.....the all-white cover would SURELY be thought to represent White Supremacy if the Fab Four had Conservative leanings!! Yes, the cover (pictured above) is ALL-WHITE, front and back....I needed to post a photo with a black border, just so you could SEE it!! But there is no black border on the actual album....it's ALL WHITE. Furthermore, the song “Happiness Is a Warm Gun” from that double album would “trigger” (Lol) Liberals EVERYWHERE if the BEATLES weren’t Liberals. (This album debuted in the late‘60s)

* What about that old Cat Stevens song “I’m Gonna Get Me a Gun”?? (mid-'60s)

* What about McCartney’s solo album “Ram,” where he PHYSICALLY restrains one, on the cover?? Animal cruelty!! ('71)

* What about Elton John’s songs “Ballad of a Well-Known Gun” and “My Father’s Gun” from a 1971 album of his??

* How long have the ROLLING STONES been objectifying women with impunity?? No Boycotts, no calls to CANCEL them??

* What about John Lennon’s song with the “N-Word”......the ACTUAL word....in the title (1972), and all of the Rappers today who use that terrible word, and call women insulting names, why do THEY get a free pass where CONSERVATIVES would get nailed??

Answer: Because Liberals are PHONIES, that’s why!!
