For some reason, I've been writing "mini-blogs" on my Facebook page recently. I've decided to reprint two of them HERE*. First, TODAY'S offering....
Yesterday, of course was the National Day of Prayer for President Trump, called for by Franklin Graham. One of his main rivals, 78 year old BERNIE SANDERS, had emergency surgery for his heart yesterday and I think we should pray for him, as well!! However...my prayer for TRUMP is that he gets saved, survives all attempts to derail him and that he'll get RE-ELECTED. My prayer for SANDERS is only that he gets SAVED.
Fellow Christian Conservatives, Jesus tells us to PRAY FOR OUR ENEMIES and this is certainly something we can PRAY for Bernie about. Scripture warns against REJOICING when our enemies have problems but we can certainly PRAY for them....and if the problems they have are used by God to help bring them to the point of SALVATION, why, ***THEN*** we can rejoice, along with the angels in Heaven!!
THIS I don't need Franklin Graham to point out, but for what it's worth, I think he'd agree. We both read the same Bible!! So PRAY for Senator Sanders!! If God REMOVES him from the 2020 race via this heart problem, that's up to HIM.....he's not going to beat Trump, ANYway. But, as Christians we should aim higher than politics and pray that he'll get SAVED.
Amen.
Now, a Facebook post of mine from YESTERDAY....
Every week when I leave the florist, I have to run a gauntlet of old "Wiseguys" who congregate outside, talking, laughing and sipping containers of coffee. They haven't asked me YET but I know how these guys think....I'm originally from North Jersey like THEY are.....they're wondering WHY I go to the florist every week. And one day, one of these Wiseguys, the "spokesman," will finally ask me something like "Hey Boss....who are those for? And what did you DO that you keep having to apologize like this?"
(It's inevitable. Therefore I have my answer READY.)
"These are for my wife, and what I *did* was have the good sense to MARRY her almost a year-and-a-half ago and to keep telling and showing her how much I love her. If I had to buy her roses every time I apologized, well, I'd be here DAILY. Now, I have to get home and give them to her, if you'll excuse me."
And, I picture dead silence from them until I get in my car and slowly drive away, when they resume talking and laughing (Lol)!!
* My blog from two days ago contained a Facebook post I did on THAT day...
